Not bad

It's good to see some non-obvious humour now and then. I am so sick of most of the crap around here.

(Clock crew ripoffs, lousy dubbing or captioning, fart jokes...)

You surprised me.

I saw the opening picture and I started warming up my blamming finger... but then it actually got funny.

You got a 2 on graphics for very obvious reasons...

Anyhow, this is the living truth that you don't need to have good graphics to make a hilarious flash movie. You should try a project with a little more effort and test the limits of what you can do.

Your respectable abilities at flash are decimated by your lame and genuinely awful humour. Why don't you try something else instead? Like you know... making a decent combat scene or a game that doesn't suck or... you know, something fun.

Want some free advice?

Stick to animating and tutorials, your feeble attempts at humour make god cry. Make a movie, then get somebody ELSE to write some captions for you.

Before this hits the obituaries...

It's nice you made a flash movie for your Grandpa's birthday but here are a few pointers...

I can see you like homestarrunner, but I would suggest you find the original sound file for that song instead of trying to record it from your speakers or whatever the heck you did to get the version you have, it sounds awful.

Try to be a little more... creative... in your humour.

And lastly, birthday presents for family members really shouldn't be uploaded to newgrounds. Your Grandpa is not going to want to see the hateful reviews this gets and its inevitable BLAM from existance.

let me get this straight... you took a movie of you playing Zelda and doodled on it in paint?

...next time use actual text, and some sounds, and then make jokes that are actually funny.

Wait.. let me get YOU straight. I got some game maps and animated sprites on them. THEN I used Flash MX (not paint, which seems could be the extent of your knoledge of graphic design) to add text which was funny if you are stoned or have a shit sense of humour? You still gay? Quite frankly... I'm sick of clock everything, but that's just me.

And my biases aside, this is still a decent movie.

Why??

1. This joke was ripped off of a MUCH more entertaining AVI movie that circulated email passages about two years ago.

2. The intro is annoying, and it shouldn't have been there.

3. The text frequently scrolls off the right of the screen, fix that.

4. Using the whole movie to lead up to that one joke was really pointless, and you should have made it more effective with the use of proper sound effects and changing camera angles.

Well..

This is border line, I'd find it pretty humorous if it got blammed itself. This has some serious sound issues that are BEGGING to be worked out, and you should have made it longer.

Pretty good

I like the visuals, and it would make a nice series... sort of like a video comic. Although I think that joke was a little old, and it sounds sort of "Calvin and Hobbs-ish"

You should try making one of these again.
